Aleono Upsetting Parallel Threaded Rebar Coupler is designed to produce a full strength mechanical joint between reinforcing bars with upsetting ends. It is used for rebar mechanical splicing in the concrete structure. It can connect re-bars of same or different diameters laterally, vertically and slantingly. It is broadly applied to the Tunnel, Tower, Bridge, Subway, Airport, Nuclear Power Station, High Rise Building and more. Nut Lock Upsetting Coupler is designed to splice upsetting rebars which both sides completely cannot rotate. It consists of one standard upsetting coupler and one lock nut or one flared upsetting coupler with a lock nut. The main function of the nut is to meet the requirement of tightening torques and eliminate the residual deformation of the splice.
The Nut Lock Upsetting Coupler is mostly adopted under L Bars and Prefabricated Bar Cages where the rotation of a bar is impossible.

Protection
To prevent dust and debris into the rebar coupler, we suggest you protect the nut lock upsetting coupler with Protective Cap before you use it.
Operation
First of all, you should process thread on the upset rebar end.
Ensure these two upsetting rebar threaded sectors with right-handed thread and the same diameter.
The length of the shorter rebar threaded sector is the half length of the coupler,
the length of the longer rebar threaded sector is the full coupler length plus the full nut length.
(1) Cut the rebar end with the Rebar Sawing Machine, ensure the cut surface is flat.
(2) Enlarge the rebar end with the Rebar Upsetting Machine, ensure the upset end can meet the requirements of rebar thread processing, and the length of upsetting rebar end should be more than 1/2 of the coupler length.
(3) Cutting Thread on the upsetting rebar end with the Rebar Threading Machine.
Then splice the upset reinforcing bars.
(1) Prepare.
(2) Rotate the lock nut and coupler onto the longer rebar threaded sector.
(3) Shift the shorter rebar threaded sector, ensure two rebar thread end can be touched each other.
(4) Rotate the coupler and lock nut onto the shorter rebar threaded sector side. Then tighten the coupler and lock nut with torque spanner or socket wrench.
